Sandia Park, NM, USA: A brand new multi-million dollar home built in a new development in the Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque is the stage for the new HGTV 2010 dream home which will be given away March 15. Over 40 million unique visitors to the HGTV dream home website will enter to win this house and it’s amenities which value over 2 million dollars.
Karan Ruhlen Gallery is proud to announce two of our artist’s work was purchased for the home.
Kevin Tolman has three large paintings within the home. “Flyway/Transformation” is a 72 x 96 inch painting that hangs in the great room. The terra cotta colored painting serves as a backdrop to a beautiful view of the mountainous landscape the home overlooks. “La Playa and Flipside/Isla” hang as a diptych in the dining room. Their cool turquoise color continues the theme of the Turquoise Trail that flows throughout the home.
Twelve small watercolor paintings of the New Mexico landscape by Elaine Holien hang in the entry way and wrap around into the dining room. Her spontaneous sketches of New Mexico add a sense of the place. Each watercolor is a unique view of Northern New Mexico.
